University of New Hampshire H.T. First Official Event to Run ShowConnect

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is pleased to announce that the University of New Hampshire H.T. will be utilizing the ShowConnect, a new event management system, at their upcoming event. The University of New Hampshire (UNH) H.T. will take place this weekend on September 25-26, 2021 in Durham, New Hampshire.

The USEA has been the caretaker of the ShowConnect project and has been partnering with various professionals in the equestrian community, as well as different organizations to help build a new innovative system that is much needed in today’s marketplace.

Organized by the University of New Hampshire Equine Program, the UNH H.T. is celebrating their 50th anniversary at this year’s event. The event offers Beginner Novice through Preliminary level and is a popular event in Area I. They will also be the first official event to run ShowConnect as their only event software.

“As a land-grant University with strong ties to the equestrian community, we are excited to create partnerships with the USEA by field testing ShowConnect at our upcoming event. We see this as an important link from entries to event management and we see this as an educational opportunity that will benefit the greater eventing community.” Liz Johnson, show secretary, also notes “the UNH Horse Trials have seen many changes over the past 50 years, and this synergy of technology is a timely and relevant addition to our event.”

The UNH H.T. was founded in the early 1970s by students in the Animal Science degree program and UNH Horseman’s Club under the direction of Janet Briggs, a faculty member who was with the program for over 50 years.
